Turmeric Paste for Tumeric Latte (aka Golden Milk)
Making Turmeric Paste is surprisingly quick and easy and it’s so much tastier for making homemade Golden Milk, more commonly known as a Turmeric Latte. The paste can also be used in broths, curries, stir-fry’s, soups, tea, energy balls, rice and even smoothies!

Turmeric Paste
INGREDIENTS:
Organic, locally sourced where possible -
1.5 Cups of filtered water
1/2 Cup organic turmeric powder
1 Piece of fresh ginger (about 1/2 of your thumb)
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
2 Teaspoons of black pepper
1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg
3 Teaspoons of raw organic coconut oil
Method:
Bring the water to the boil then add the finely grated ginger with the turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg and coconut oil.
Stir continuously, the heat needs to be low to medium for about 3 to 4 mins. If it’s too thick, you can add a bit more water.
Let the mixture cool and store in a glass jar in the fridge - it will keep for a couple of weeks!
